Faculty Position Opening:
Faculty Member at Korea Aerospace University (Starting date: March 2020)

  
 Korea Aerospace University (KAU) is seeking qualified Full-time faculty members. KAU has steadily nurtured experts in the field of aviation, who now carry out key roles in many different sectors of society. KAU would like to have the well qualified and experienced experts to apply for the vacant position as below;
  
1.Qualifications
  
 Applicants should meet the following three requirements.

-Must hold a Master’s degree at
 least (Ph.D. holder preferable)
-Must have More than
 1,500hours of flight
 experience as an Airline Pilot
-Must hold an IR(Instrument
 Rating) and CPL(Commercial
 Pilot License)
Aircraft System
& Avionics
-Must hold Ph.D.
-Must have more than 5 years
 experiences in the field of
 aircraft system and avionics
School of Air Transport,
Transportation and
Logistics
Aviation Policy &
Transport Economics
-Must hold Ph.D.
Air Transport

(Airport Operation &
Sustainable Air
Transport)
-Must hold Ph.D.
  
2.Duties:
 Successful applicants will be required to:
  a.Should be available five days per week, normally from Monday to Friday
  b.Teach courses in undergraduate and graduate program and courses
  c.Advise undergraduate students (Flexible schedule)
  d.Teach at least nine class hours per week, averaged over the two
   semesters of the school year
  e.Participate in activities of Department of Aeronautical Science and Flight
   Operation
  f.Contribute to program and course development, including assessment of
   student learning.
  
3.Terms of Contract
 a.2-year contract for an assistant professor
 b.Contract renewal is subject to education & research performance after
  the completion of the 1st contract.
 c.Salary is subject to university regulation

5.Required Documents

b.Recommendation letters
c.Copies of each degree (B.S./M.A./Ph.D.)
d.Copies of transcripts of each degree (B.S./M.A./Ph.D.)
e.Copies of passport(information page and relevant visa)
f.Copies of employment history (if available)
 ※ Note)
 - The above required documents (except for the application form) can be
 scanned and e-mailed as attachment files. However, the original documents
 should be submitted once all of the screening procedures are completed.
 (can be returned after the check-up)
    
6.Application process
 The required documents must be submitted by e-mail (kauapply@kau.ac.kr) only.
    
7.Interviews
 a.Applicants who have successfully passed the primary screening would
  be invited to an interview, the secondary screening.
 b.There would be the final interview(president) for the applicants who
  have passed the secondary screening.
  Applicants who successfully pass each screening process would be
 *informed the details individually.
    
8.Others
 a.No applicants will be employed if they are not qualified appropriately in each
  areas of concentration
 b.If the documents submitted are falsified or forged after verification
  processes, employment will be nullified
